Introducing – Neuro-Innovation

Neuro-Innovation is an EU Horizon2020 MSCA funded (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action for Co-funding of regional, national and international programmes (COFUND)) four-year doctoral programme of University of Eastern Finland that focuses on research and innovation for brain health throughout life. The implementation of the programme is from 1st May 2021 to 30th April 2026.  

A total of fourteen competent and motivated Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) will be selected for multi/interdisciplinary doctoral training of which combines neurosciences with management, social, legal, and computer sciences and applied physics.  

“At the moment we are inviting applications for two fully funded 4-year Doctoral Researcher (PhD Student) positions, the 4th and final call is open until 31st January 2023. We are excited that the model of the Neuro-Innovation PhD programme has attracted interest from abroad”, describe project coordinators professor Päivi Eriksson and professor Tarja Malm. “These experts will learn to solve innovation related questions in personalized medicine that focuses on the prediction, prevention and early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases and epilepsy. “
